Balze: Forests, Hiking Trails and Panoramic Views

The route includes the Cascate del Tevere, the historic sources of the Tiber, and the Falesia di Balze, which is considered a meeting place for many climbers. Winter sports on Monte Fumaiolo

The Monte Fumaiolo area also offers several options in winter. The ski area has a ski lift serving three red alpine skiing runs: one 1 km long and two 800 m long, with artificial snowmaking. The cross-country skiing loop on Monte Fumaiolo is 5 km long, of medium difficulty and extends as far as the sources of the Tiber.

Snowboarders will find the Fumipark, a snow park with jumps, boxes and rails. In the Monte Fumaiolo area, snowshoe hikes are also possible at night.
