Culture
The Mineral Museum of Siófok displays around 3,000 minerals in 54 display cases across five exhibition rooms. One of the city’s most distinctive buildings is the Siófok Water Tower, which was built in 1912. Following its renovation in 2012, a rotating observation platform was opened inside.
Siófok’s Rose Garden is also one of the city’s special places: it features a musical and illuminated fountain.
Nature
Jókai Park features a small pond and a Japanese garden. In the Törek Nature Reserve, the nature trail provides insights into the wildlife of lakes, wetlands, various forests and meadows.
The same nature reserve also has a birdwatching tower, from which the local birdlife can be observed. The complete hike along the nature trail in the Törek Nature Reserve is 8.5 km long.
Experiences
The DRV Vizek Háza Experience Park offers interactive activities focused on water, including a water trail, a bicycle-powered fountain and the construction of a water pipeline. Bella Animal Park offers guided camel rides as well as riding excursions and pony and horse-riding experiences.
The port of Siófok offers sightseeing, music and round trips by boat. The route of the Kékszalag sailing regatta also passes through Siófok.
Water and Trails
A public BAHART passenger service connects the BAHART port of Siófok with Balatonfüred. The Sió Canal offers opportunities for water sports such as kayaking and canoeing in Siófok.
Renovated cycle paths are available for cyclists, with suitable routes for both beginners and experienced riders.
