If you are interested in a guided tour, there is also a town walk that begins at the Upper Town Gate and leads to the Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary. The Upper Town Gate was built in 1494.
Another town tour focuses on the night watchman tradition: the Night Watchman Tour with Paul Silberbaur leads through the quiet lanes of Weißenhorn’s old town, past historic half-timbered buildings and significant historic buildings. The experience includes a night watchman’s song, halberd, horn and lantern. This gives the tour a character of its own alongside the digitally accessible audio tour and the guided town walk.
Those who enjoy covering a distance outdoors will also find various options. Weißenhorn has signposted Nordic walking and running routes, with circular trails ranging from 4 to 19 kilometres. They pass through woods and meadows, as well as along paved sections, and connect the districts and Pfaffenhofen. The different route lengths can be taken into account when planning your day, but length alone does not indicate the level of difficulty. The town also presents cycling routes in and around Weißenhorn. The Waterfowl Loop starts at Weißenhorn railway station, Herzog-Georg-Straße 11.
Museums, theatre and town culture
The Archaeological Museum of the City of Weißenhorn displays traces of the Stone Age, remains from Roman times, and evidence of everyday culture from the Middle Ages and Early Modern period. Its collection also includes a medieval gravestone from Attenhofen, with a Hebrew inscription on the back. The collection thus spans the period from the earliest traces to evidence of everyday life in later eras.
The Weißenhorn Local History Museum was founded in 1908 and, for a town of its size, has an exceptionally extensive collection. It is closed until further notice due to renovation work. This current notice is important when planning your visit: the museum cannot currently be counted on as an open attraction. Another cultural highlight is the Historic Town Theatre Weißenhorn. It is considered the smallest theatre in Bavaria and has a neoclassical auditorium with 140 seats. Markets have a centuries-old tradition in Weißenhorn. During the summer months, the town park also hosts a varied programme of sports, music, open-air cinema and other events. These different offerings provide cultural inspiration for your stay without limiting it to museum visits.

The Garden Paradise Loop in Weißenhorn leads to the district model garden, the historic old town and the town park. They are about 500 metres from the outdoor swimming pool.
