Culture
The Chapelle de la Visitation in Termignon has also been known as Notre-Dame du Poivre since 1536. The chapel contains an altarpiece carved in 1710 by a child from the region.
The Église de Notre-Dame de l’Assomption developed in the 17th century from a small 13th-century building into the stately structure seen today. It contains five carved, gilded and polychrome-painted wooden altarpieces. It also houses works by the local sculptors Sébastien Rosaz and Bernard Flandin from Termignon, who were supported by Jean Simond from Bramans.
The Foire de Termignon still takes place every year on the first Sunday in October.
Nature
La Voie des plantes crosses the Doron at the edge of the Vanoise National Park. Along this route, visitors can admire waterfalls originating on the slopes of the Dent Parrachée. La Voie des plantes also provides an introduction to aromatic and medicinal plants.
The Les alpages d’Entre deux Eaux hike passes through a wild landscape in the heart of the Vanoise National Park.
The Sentier pédestre du lac Blanc offers views of the Dent Parrachée and the glaciers of Vanoise, as well as of a glacial lake whose clear waters reflect the mountain peaks.
Activities
The Boucle de la Fennaz is signposted as route number 1 and takes one hour and 30 minutes. It is a 3.9-kilometre circular route with 100 metres of positive and negative elevation gain. The Boucle de la Fennaz is considered an introductory snowshoe route through open areas and woodland sections.
The Val Cenis alpine ski area has 125 kilometres of ski slopes. In winter, the free bus route B operates between Termignon and Bramans.
