Saint-Baldoph: Holiday Apartments and Houses

In Saint-Baldoph, the Petite boucle des Sources follows a 1.2 km circular trail through old villages and past ponds; along the way, it offers beautiful views of the Bauges and Mont Granier. Nature

From the Sentier de la Croix de la Coche, you can continue as far as the Bec du Corbeau at an altitude of 755 m. From there, the view extends over Montagnole, the Chambéry basin and Lac du Bourget.

The Petite boucle de Ronjou is a 1.4 km route with an elevation gain of 150 m that climbs to the old village of Ronjou and continues onto the Sentier des Huguenots. It features limestone cascades, views of Belledonne and sections of trail through the forest.

At the Frainet site, there is an outdoor fitness and cross-training station for individual or group physical activity. The Grand Tour at Frainet is a 600 m circular trail marked every 50 m, suitable for jogging, walking and strolls alone or with the family.

Culture

The church portal is the only surviving remnant of the 13th-century building and was preserved in the 17th-century façade. The first records of the Maison-forte de Charvet, also known as Montcharvaix, date back to the 15th century.

At the initiative of the parish priest Anthelme Martin, the very old stone Croix de la Coche was moved to Mount La Coche in 1872.

Wine

Saint-Baldoph is part of the grape-growing area of Vin de Savoie Apremont. In Saint-Baldoph, winegrowing has shaped the landscape for several centuries; the commune is one of the five municipalities named within the Parc naturel régional de Chartreuse.

The Domaine Bernard et Christophe Richel offers a free tour of the wine cellar and the estate.
