Hiking and Cycling
The Mont Clergeon hiking trail is signposted with numerous signs and yellow markings. The cycling climb to the Col du Clergeon begins in Ruffieux and leads to the summit via the D55. The route covers 8 km from the Chautagne plain to the 979 m-high summit. The GR65 Way of St. James also runs through Chautagne; a 22 km stage leads from the heights of Seyssel to Chanaz.
Nature
The Chautagne state forest lies within the municipal areas of Chindrieux, Ruffieux, Vions and Serrières-en-Chautagne. It offers walks for observing beavers and amphibians. The state forest is easily accessible on foot for all groups of people; the forest roads are closed to traffic.
History
The Grande Cuve site can be reached from the route starting in Ruffieux after one kilometre, lies at an altitude of 1,000 m and has an information panel. The Mont Clergeon trail passes an old charcoal kiln that was used by the forestry administration between 1943 and 1945 to sell charcoal and for gas-powered vehicles.

The Caveau de Chautagne in Ruffieux has been offering Savoie wines since 1952. A tasting of various cuvées takes place after visiting the Caveau de Chautagne. At the Caveau de Chautagne in Ruffieux, visitors can experience the sensory wine trail “L’Éveil des Sens”.
