Les Allues: Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture
The Église Saint-Martin des Allues was built at the end of the 17th century and houses significant Baroque art treasures. At the same time, it is a site of Savoyard heritage with its own history and architecture.
In the hamlet of Le Raffort, on the road between Les Allues and Méribel, lies the recently restored Scierie et Moulin du Raffort, a sawmill and mill complex under one roof. It can be viewed from the outside year-round and is freely accessible. Information panels explain the historic hydraulic mechanisms of the Scierie and the Moulin.
The Musée des Allues is closed due to construction work. It is located in the Maison Bonnevie and presents the history and traditions of the inhabitants of the Allues Valley through traditional forms of housing, historic tools and techniques, as well as local history, archival materials and exhibitions. The permanent exhibition on the development of skiing in Méribel includes historic skis, boots, clothing and photographs.
The village of Les Allues features traditional Savoyard architecture, a bread oven, old barns and narrow lanes. The Chalet de Charlotte Perriand was classified as a historic monument by a decree dated 16 March 2016.
Trails
The Sentier de la Poésie runs between the villages of Le Cruet and Le Villard and the center of Les Allues. The Chemin des Moulins is a short circular route starting from Les Allues and following former mills for grain, hemp or Greilla; it begins at the Les Allues shuttle stop.
The Boucle des Allues leads to a mill mechanism, chapels, a communal bread oven, a basin and a cultural center. It also passes through Les Allues, Hauteville and Villaret. The Circuit des Villages runs via Le Raffort, Nantgerel, Chandon, Vanthier, Le Cruet, Les Allues and Le Villaret, then returns through the forest to La Gittaz.
Winter
The winter Sentier de la Poésie starts at the Les Allues or Le Cruet shuttle stop and presents 25 poems and their authors. The winter Circuit des Villages starts at the Les Allues shuttle stop and offers two uphill variants.
The Olympe gondola connects Les Allues with the Méribel ski area. Its lower station is 500 meters from the village center; free shuttle buses also serve the center.
Nature
The accessible circular trail around the lake in the Réserve naturelle nationale du Plan de Tuéda nature reserve is 1.8 km long.
Festivals
The Fête du Four takes place in the village of Les Allues during the winter season. At this festival, visitors can watch bread being baked in a stone wood-fired oven.
A Savoyard cultural event takes place in Les Allues once a year, at the beginning of August. It includes a parade with floats and costumes.
Getting There
Moûtiers is the nearest SNCF railway station; seasonal shuttle buses and taxis connect it with Méribel in a few minutes.
