Culture and History
The Towers of Chignin and the associated archaeological site were listed as historic monuments by decree of 18 February 1991. The Towers of Chignin consist of seven towers built in the 13th century during the division of the lordship of Chignin.
The chapel and the Tour de la Place of the Towers of Chignin are clearly visible in the landscape and have been restored. The Chapelle Saint-Anthelme was built in 1877 by the Carthusians on the ruins of a medieval castle where Saint Anthelme was born.

Wine and Landscape
Chignin has a south-southwesterly position sheltered from the wind and soil made up of calcareous scree. This terroir produces Chignin-Bergeron, a wine made exclusively from the Roussanne grape variety with French AOC and European AOP status.
The Domaine Berthollier winery farms its vineyards organically and biodynamically. The vines are tended by hand, the wines are vinified without sulfur, and some cuvées are matured in amphorae.
The Segway experience in the vineyards of Chignin combines a one-hour ride through the Savoie wine-growing region with a tasting of biodynamically produced wines at the Claude Quenard et Fils winery.

A Year in the Life of a Winegrower is a themed trail in Chignin accessible to everyone, with seven explanatory panels about seasonal work in viticulture.
The Chemin des Vignes is a hiking trail approximately 30 kilometers long through vineyards and villages. It passes through Chignin and can be walked in sections.
La Grappe d'Or is a family treasure hunt in the vineyards of Chignin, where various tasks reveal the secrets of winegrowing and the history of the area. As a themed hiking trail, La Grappe d'Or is approximately 3.5 kilometers long and is specified as taking about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
