The Forêt Sport Nature & Santé area offers three interconnected circular trails on the slopes of Mont Saint Michel.

Forêt Sport includes a footbridge through the moss-covered forest, as well as playful features with wooden figures and balancing courses along the tree trunks.

Forêt Sport also has a panoramic viewpoint with deckchairs.

Water

The Plan d’eau de Challes-les-Eaux is used year-round for fishing and unsupervised swimming.

History and Culture

On 12 February 1872, a thermal spa facility was built at the site of the spring. It welcomed its first bathers, the spa guests of the time, in 1876.

In 1874, the Cercle du Casino de Challes was founded; the society had a casino built on piles driven into the marsh.

Challes-les-Eaux’s thermal heritage can be seen in a tree-lined park and Belle Époque architecture.

The Challes-les-Eaux heritage orienteering course begins at the du Colombier car park. At the orienteering points, it enables visitors to discover the municipality’s diverse heritage by answering questions.

Parks

Parc de Triviers features centuries-old trees, a pond, flowerbeds and a manor house. Individuals and groups can visit it free of charge and independently.

During a one-hour event, Château des Comtes de Challes opened its wine cellar for a tour and a tasting of four wines to choose from.
