Brides-les-Bains has been known since antiquity for the benefits of its thermal springs. The first thermal complex in the town was built in 1845. Nature
The Bois de Cythère was classified as a natural site and natural monument of artistic character by a decree dated 2 June 1910. This forest features a mountain stream, waterfalls, numerous rocks and trees.
Above the Sentier de la Gorge aux Pigeons lies the Natura 2000 site “S23-Adrets de Tarentaise”, directly behind the footbridge towards the hamlet of Fontaine. The Parc Thermal is located on the Doron in a natural setting, offers sports and leisure activities, and is open every day all year round.
Culture
The Eglise Saint-Etienne is part of the architectural heritage of Brides-les-Bains and is located in the centre of the municipality.
Hiking and Panoramic Views
The Sentier de la Gorge aux Pigeons is an easy circular trail with a walking time of 30 minutes to 1 hour. Le Village de Villarnard par Les Chavonnes is a signposted hiking trail that leads via Les Chavonnes to Villarnard.
The Sentier Les Chavonnes is also a signposted, easy hiking trail. As a round trip, it takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Le Chemin de Bozel is a signposted hiking trail that starts at the square in front of the Brides-les-Bains tourist office. From there, it offers panoramic views of the 3 Vallées. Brides-les-Bains is also a starting point for exploring the famous Alpine passes.
