Culture and History
The Renaissance château of Saint-Marcel-de-Félines has an Italian-inspired courtyard. The Oppidum du Crêt Chatelard bears witness to the ancient settlement of a community at the site of Saint-Marcel-de-Félines.
The “Vieilles Pierres, Jeunes Plantes” event has been held every year at the Domaine de Saint-Marcel-de-Félines since 2010. The Association of the Grotte de Félines organises three events every year: a Stations of the Cross procession, a Mass on 15 August and illuminations on 8 December. The Grotte de Félines is an oratory dedicated to the Virgin Mary, modelled on the appearance of the holy site of Lourdes.
