Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert: Vacation Rentals and Holiday Homes

The Chemin des Castors is a 5 km-long trail with a walking time of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. It begins at the Boule des Barques on the Saint-Rambert side, passes through the riparian forest, crosses the large Pascal-Clément Bridge, and returns via the meadows of the Saint-Just district. Along the trail, traces of the European beaver, which is found on both sides of the river, can often be observed.

The Chemin des Libellules is a 3.1 km-long trail with a walking time of approximately 45 minutes. It begins on the right bank at the Base de loisirs, passes by the Verrerie de Saint-Just, goes through the center of Asnières, and returns via the glassworks district. Several dragonfly species live along the Chemin des Libellules, including the rare saggy-winged heidelibelle (Sympetrum depressiusculum).

Culture and History

The Musée des Civilisations Daniel Pouget houses collections on archaeology, modern and contemporary art, fine arts, history, technology and industry, ethnology, and Africa, America, Asia, and Oceania. It is located in a former priory in Saint-Rambert, which was converted into a country residence in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Sur les pas de Jehan leads through the medieval town of Saint-Rambert with its double fortifications, Romanesque church, half-timbered houses, stately residences from the late Middle Ages, and 19th-century buildings with brick decoration. The freely accessible historical tour through the medieval center of Saint-Rambert includes eight panels mounted on walls and three information plaques installed on public walkways.

The GR® de Pays Rails et rambertes presents the heritage of the Loire-Rambertes, their construction from fir wood from the Monts du Forez, and the railway transportation of potatoes, paving stones, and wood.

Water and Activities

The BASE DE LOISIRS LOIRE FOREZ offers canoeing and kayaking on the Loire in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert. By reservation, it also offers outdoor activities such as archery, laser activities, orienteering, and roller sports for groups and individuals.
