The educational trail through the Forêt de Bas is an easy-to-walk, signposted 3-kilometre route that is accessible to the public from the hamlet of Dagues and follows a section of the historic Way of St James. The Forêt de Bas is an ecological and historic site, as well as one of the few larger areas of forest still preserved in the Forez plain.

Surroundings

The surroundings of Pommiers include Château de Souternon, a castle, and Bonlieu Abbey, a historic site. Château de Cleppé and Château de Couzan, each a ruin, are also located there, as are the mountains Haut de Vitré Sud, Pic de Montverdun, Haut de Vitré Nord and Haut de Lamure.
