The Forêt de Bas is an ecological and historic site, as well as one of the few larger areas of forest still preserved in the Forez plain.

The surroundings of Pommiers include Château de Souternon, a castle, and Bonlieu Abbey, a historic site. Château de Cleppé and Château de Couzan, each a ruin, are also located there, as are the mountains Haut de Vitré Sud, Pic de Montverdun, Haut de Vitré Nord and Haut de Lamure.
