Veigy-Foncenex lies on both sides of the RD 1005, which connects Geneva with Thonon-les-Bains. The Hermance rises above the municipality of Veigy-Foncenex and flows into Lake Geneva 13 kilometres further on.

Nature and Trails
The hiking trail is called “Sentier pédestre des Rives de l’Hermance”. The cross-border trail is called “Les Coteaux de l’Hermance”.
The Boucle des Castors is a circular hiking trail along the lower course of the Hermance. A French section leads to the Pont de France, while a Swiss section leads to the historic hamlet of Crevy; the return route passes through the town centre. The Boucle des Castors begins at the Champs-Faviol car park near the stadium.
The Pont de Crevy marks the border with Switzerland. The Boucle des Castors also passes the entrance to the Château de Veigy-Foncenex.

The Plateau multisports Alain Ferney multisports facility is open to everyone. The skate park is also open to everyone.
Culture and History
The Eglise Saint-Georges is a Baroque church. Its construction was completed in 1717, and its interior was completed in 1729.
The Château de Veigy-Foncenex was built in the 14th century and is privately owned.
The Pont de Crevy dates from the 18th century. The Moulin à Mouchet is a 17th-century structure with two wheels and two millstones.
The Presbytère is the only surviving building from Foncenex’s former parish history.
