In Samoëns, the Jardin botanique alpin de la Jaÿsinia alpine botanical garden is classified as a Jardin remarquable de France. The Les Hameaux de Samoëns walking route combines natural, architectural and cultural heritage; along the way, visitors can see chalets, bread ovens, water basins and chapels, among other sights. Hiking trails from Samoëns lead, among other places, to Montagne du Criou; from the summit, there are sweeping views across the valley and the town centre.
Water and Leisure
The Base de loisirs des Lacs aux Dames is a park of around 10 hectares surrounding two lakes near the centre of Samoëns. In summer, swimming is permitted in one of the two lakes. The facility also offers outdoor leisure activities such as stand-up paddleboarding and fishing.
