Culture and History
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Lac and its surroundings were included in the national inventory on 30 August 1946 and classified in 2021 under the title Vieilles Maisons Françaises.

Saint-Martin Church in Nernier is first mentioned in a papal bull from 1250, which placed it under the authority of Filly Abbey.
The current building of Saint-Martin Church was rebuilt on the lakeshore in 1840.
Paths and Guided Tours
A path through the streets connects the village entrance with the harbour and the château. Along the old walls and the harbour’s main breakwater, it is decorated with frescoes, poems and literary excerpts.
The “Boucle Messery Nernier” hiking route leads to Nernier and invites visitors to explore the village there.
