Le Grand-Bornand is regarded as the birthplace of farmhouse Reblochon. Farmhouse Reblochon is made twice a day at the milking site from the milk of a single herd.

Culture and History
The Ferme « maison du patrimoine bornandin » has been protected as a historic monument by an inscription order dated 19 September 2007. The Maison du patrimoine is an authentic example of 19th-century rural architecture and an ecomuseum dedicated to Le Grand-Bornand, its traditions and its craftsmanship. It is furnished to reflect life in the late 19th century and illustrates the traditional division of houses for families and animals.
The Chapelle du Chinaillon was founded in 1677. Despite the extensive renovation carried out in 1977, it retains its old-world character and houses objects ranging from Baroque to contemporary art.
The Chapelle de la Duche is the oldest chapel in Le Grand-Bornand. It was founded at the end of the 17th century, rebuilt at the end of the 19th century, and is dedicated, among others, to Sainte Anne, Saint Grat and Saint Guérin.
The Chapelle du Nant Robert was founded in 1762 on the initiative of the local community and is dedicated to Sainte-Anne and Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

The Chapelle du Nant Robert overlooks the village of Le Grand-Bornand and offers panoramic views of the Aravis mountain range.

The Nordic ski area of Le Grand-Bornand has cross-country ski trails for all levels and designated areas for cross-country skiing and Nordic leisure activities. La Dévallée is a cross-country ski trail that descends through the Bouchet Valley to the village.
