Doussard: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Douss’plage is a sandy beach in a natural, protected and green setting on Lac d’Annecy. The beach is open every day all year round; from 1 July to 31 August, it is free of charge and supervised. It is also accessible to wheelchair users with assistance, as well as to independently operated wheelchairs.

Nature and water
The Bout du Lac nature reserve is a wetland crossed by the two waterways Eau Morte and Ire, which feed Lac d’Annecy. Since May 2010, it has been accessible to people with disabilities via a 1.6 km path that crosses part of the area. The footpath through the Bout du Lac d’Annecy nature reserve is accessible to everyone and features several educational stations.
Getting around
The former railway line between Albertville and Annecy was converted into the Voie Verte, a cycle path. The Voie Verte du lac is accessible to non-motorised vehicles and pedestrians. From Doussard, the Voie Verte provides connections towards Annecy or Albertville. It has gentle uphill and downhill gradients.
For paragliding, landings in Doussard take place in designated landing areas. The Boucle du Facteur passes through the village of Doussard.
Culture and history
The Tour de Beauvivier is a roofless medieval ruin overlooking Lac d’Annecy.
A circular trail at the Pont de Verthier tells the history of the former toll bridge and water-powered mills. The circular trail includes the Notre Dame de la Nativité chapel. Individual visits at the Pont de Verthier are free of charge and can be undertaken independently at any time.
Market and village life
Doussard’s summer market takes place weekly in the town centre during the summer season. Local producers, craftspeople and traders offer regional specialities, fresh produce, handcrafted creations and culinary offerings.
