The Plaine-Joux plateau features preserved, rich and wild nature with views of Mont Blanc. Plaine-Joux is located at an altitude of 1,250 metres. Around 31 kilometres of marked, groomed and maintained cross-country ski trails are available there; the grooming is suitable for skating and the classic style.

Winter sports and nature
The Massif des Brasses comprises an alpine and a Nordic ski area. It is easily accessible by car; on site, there is a large free car park in the immediate vicinity of the ticket offices, slopes, equipment rental facilities, restaurants and the ESF ski school.
Trails and landscapes
The “La Pointe de Miribel depuis Plaine-Joux” hiking trail leads through a series of mountain pastures with beautiful panoramas of the Giffre Mountains. These include Pointe de Chalune (2,116 m), Haute-Pointe (1,958 m) and Pointe de Haute-Bené (2,215 m).
Four sculptures are located along the same hiking trail. They are made of monolithic blocks of marble limestone and arranged in a semicircle at intervals of 100 metres.
On the ascent via the “Pointe de Miribel par le Col de Creux” hiking trail, visitors can discover a Stations of the Cross dating from 1827.
Cheese and local history
The Fruitière de Bogève offers a guided tour every Wednesday upon reservation. This includes the cheese-making room as well as the cellars for AOP Reblochon, AOP Abondance and IGP Raclette de Savoie.
At the Fruitière de Bogève, cheese is available for retail sale seven days a week from a vending machine. The bell tower of Saint-Etienne de Bogève can be visited, and its history is presented during the visit.
