History and architectural heritage

The Château des Tours was a fortress destroyed in the 14th century. The Château Blanc was built on its site in the 19th century. The Maison forte de la Motte is a 15th-century ruin. The Church of Saint Peter dates from approximately the 17th century.

Le Môle is classified as a “Sensitive Natural Area”. A cycle path runs through Ayse; benches and litter bins are located nearby.

Experiences

The Bergerie d’Ayze offers guided tours. Depending on the date, the “Échappées Gourmandes” activity in Ayze includes a guided and commented hike or a bike tour. The experience also includes discovering the AOC Vin de Savoie Ayze wine-growing area and the Gringet grape variety.

Les Terrasses d’Ayze is a hiking route classified as easy and suitable for beginners. It can be started in Ayse at the Parking du Levry. The trail is part of the agricultural and winegrowing terraced landscape typical of Ayze and features an old stone wall.

Water

Lac d’Ayze is an urban body of water intended mainly for family-oriented fishing and is stocked with rainbow trout, black bass, carp and perch. Access to the fishing spot at Lac d’Ayze is free, but a fishing licence is required.
