A large part of Valaurie’s oval medieval fortifications has been preserved, including several towers. The Church of Saint-Martin is a single-nave Provençal Romanesque church dating from the late 11th and 12th centuries. It has a bell-tower porch, which is considered rare in Provence.
The washhouse of Valaurie was built in 1855 and covered in 1892. Valaurie’s historic old town can be explored via narrow lanes and calades.
