Soyans: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Château de Soyans was rebuilt in the first half of the 16th century in the style of the Italian Renaissance. It has been in ruins since a fire in 1796.

Culture

The Saint-Marcel Chapel in Soyans is a Romanesque church; it was built in the 12th century. It was added to the register of historic monuments in 1926. The chapel can be visited by arrangement with the town hall; it is not permanently open.

The Ancienne abbaye de Saint-Thiers de Saou monument is located in the immediate vicinity of Soyans. The La tour de Crest castle, the Crest Tower historic site and the Abbaye Sainte-Anne de Bonlieu-sur-Roubion historic site are located in the surrounding area of Soyans.

Activities

The bathing season at the Roubion de Saou à Soyans bathing area is set from 1 July to 31 August 2026. The “Le vieux village de Soyans” mountain-bike route is open to all mountain bikers and suitable for e-MTBs.

Local Traditions

Black truffles are harvested in Soyans. At the 2023 Journée de la Truffe in Soyans, visitors were able to buy plants, truffles and other products from local producers and watch demonstrations of truffle hunting. The “Journée de la Truffe” event in Soyans was organised annually in February, provided circumstances allowed.
