The signposted circular hike to the Sommet de Bergiès starts and ends in Séderon. It is 15.59 km long, involves 650 metres of ascent, and is rated very difficult.

From the summit meadows, the route to the Sommet de Bergiès offers sweeping views of the landscapes of the Baronnies.

The route Les crêtes de Costadret – La Tour includes a botanical educational trail featuring a selection of local plants and information about their uses. The hike also offers views over the upper Méouge basin as far as Fort de Mévouillon and passes the ruins of the Notre-Dame de la Brune chapel.

Near Séderon is the CosmoDrôme observatory on Mount Bergiès in the commune of Barret-de-Lioure in the Drôme département; a hiking trail leads there from Séderon. The CosmoDrôme site is open to the public and regularly offers stargazing events.

History and Culture

The Castrum de Sedarono is documented as a fortified site in 1293. Séderon's early settlement was located on Gueysset Hill until the 10th century.

At the beginning of the 20th century, lavender was already one of the area's main sources of income.

The L'Essaillon association organizes an annual exhibition. At least 28 amateur or professional artists have drawn inspiration from Séderon over the course of a century.

Market and Leisure

Séderon's market takes place year-round on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It offers the opportunity to discover and sample local products.

The treasure hunt in Séderon offers three age-specific versions: for children aged 4–6, 7–9, and 9–12. It was available year-round during the tourist office's opening hours.

Séderon has a heated outdoor swimming pool that is open during the summer season. The outdoor pool offers swimming lessons and aqua aerobics.
