Culture

The historic centre of Saint-Roman is a dense, formerly fortified medieval settlement. The medieval section has been preserved, and visitors can stroll through its maze of narrow streets. The Mairie-Ecole was built around 1890 at the transition between the old and new settlements of Saint-Roman. In addition, Elisabeth Brzeczkowski has a permanent exhibition in an atelier-exhibition space in Saint-Roman.

Getting Around

At the confluence of the Drôme and Bez rivers lies a flood-prone Natura 2000 area. Beavers visit the confluence of the Drôme and Bez. The beaver trail is an easy walk along the river and is accessible to children aged five and over.
