In the heart of Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans lies the Grotte de Thaïs. From the Belvédère, the view extends over the aqueduct and the valleys of the Isère and the Bourne; in the background are the three major openings of the Vercors massif.
The Au Fil de la Bourne route starts at the striking Aqueduc de Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans and follows the Bourne canal. Les coteaux du Royans runs over slopes and through walnut groves. The route then follows a scenic balcony road overlooking the valleys of the Isère and the Bourne; the descent reaches the lake and the red-ochre rocks of Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans.
Water and nature
The Bateau à Roue offers guided cruises on the Isère and the Bourne between Saint-Nazaire-en-Royans and the village of La Sône. Along the route are marshes and reed beds that provide a habitat for waterbirds.
