Culture
In Rottier, the Chapelle Notre-Dame des Anges stands below the village on a rocky spur. The chapel already existed in the 16th century; a pilgrimage festival at the end of summer is associated with it. The Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Anges also houses a protected 18th-century ex-voto painting.
The Église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine is a deconsecrated 12th-century church. In the old village of Rottier, there were a total of 30 houses in 1832, but the old village was abandoned in 1920. The 13th-century tower in the old village has now been converted into a residential building.
Because of the steep slopes, the old village was in a defensive position. It faced south and was protected from the bise.

About one third of the forest is grazed. The forest mainly consists of Scots pine and black pine.
