Propiac’s thermal spa flourished until the end of the 19th century. Propiac lies in the Eyguemarse Valley amid green countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.

Nature and landscape
The Moure Frey, Rocher Rond, Montagne de Baume Noire and Montagne de la Taillade mountains are located in the immediate vicinity of Propiac. Mont Ventoux is visible from the village of Propiac.
Mount Roche Colombe rises opposite Propiac and, at 681 metres, is the highest point there. Black marl made from a mixture of clay and limestone characterises the local landscape.
At the lower edge of the village of Propiac, the Eyguemarse River is associated with hikers and swimmers.
Culture and history
The ruins of La villasse - Maison du Buste d'Argent are located in the vicinity of Propiac. The Tour de l'Horloge church is also nearby. In the wider regional surroundings of Propiac are Château de Grignan and the historic site of Abbaye de Bouchet.
In Propiac-les-Bains, a small rural chapel is one of the attractions. Collectif du Chat Bleu in Propiac organises artistic and cultural events as well as exhibitions by craftspeople.

A hike starts in Propiac and leads towards Roche Colombe and onwards towards Roche d'Oie. From Propiac, quiet and lightly frequented paths can be explored.
On the way to Buis-les-Baronnies, the small uphill road to Propiac is recommended as a scenic cycling route.
