Le Poët-Sigillat: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Le Poët-Sigillat is situated on a rocky spur at an altitude of around 780 metres and is the highest village in the Ennuyé Valley. In the surrounding area, the panorama extends as far as Mont Ventoux; from the ridge, lavender fields are visible beyond the Pause Valley.

Landscape

The Montagne du Poët is located at an altitude of 1,300 metres and offers a viewpoint. In the Ravin de la Pause, limestone and marl layers are exposed through erosion.

Hiking

The Sentier de la Pause is a very easy circular trail in Le Poët-Sigillat. It is 4.1 km long and takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. The trail begins at the church car park and ends in Le Poët-Sigillat.

The hiking trail to the Col d’Ambonne is a marked, moderately difficult 4.15 km circular route starting and ending in Le Poët-Sigillat. It offers a viewpoint over the Eygues and Ennuyé valleys. Soubeyrand is a launch site near Le Poët-Sigillat and Bellecombe-Tarendol.

Culture

At the entrance gate to the old village, dating from 1666, visitors can admire the bell tower of the private Saint-Bernard Chapel. The Saint-Martin parish church is open to visitors.

Lavender cultivation in the surrounding area is mainly used to produce essential oil and hydrosols. A clapier at the Serre de Champ Rasé is a pile of stones stacked by people.
