The partially listed historic monument Château de Lalo comprises the façades and roofs of the actual château, excluding the outbuildings and the surrounding wall, as well as the exterior staircase, the terraces and the northern water basin; the listing was made by decree of 8 December 1981. The Banc seigneurial de justice on Place Royale in Espeluche was classified as a historic monument by decree of 6 October 1981. The Chapelle de Montceau was built on ancient Gallo-Roman Christian graves.

Routes and Landscapes

Le huit d'Espeluche is a marked, moderately difficult circular hike covering 8.95 kilometres with 150 metres of positive elevation gain. It begins at the tennis stadium car park in Espeluche and ends in Espeluche. Its route follows small roads lined with lavender fields and woodland paths.

The route Bois de Jamot et Baume leads through the large forest and across the plateau in the hills above Espeluche; it includes shaded forest paths, tracks and small, sheltered single trails. The “La chapelle de Montceau” route leads from Espeluche to Montceau hill and its chapel.

“Le Petit Espeluche” passes through the flower-decorated narrow streets of Espeluche centre and by the central fountain in front of the “Banc du Seigneur”. Le Petit Espeluche is an easy, family-friendly route that is open year-round and free to access.

The historic site Abbaye Notre-Dame de Bon Secours is located in the immediate vicinity of Espeluche. In the area around Espeluche are Aiguebelle Abbey, Château de Grignan and the historic site Abbaye Sainte-Anne de Bonlieu-sur-Roubion.
