Claveyson: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Church of Saint-Andéol has a Romanesque apse, a Romanesque base of the bell tower and a Romanesque chapel on the south side; the façade, nave and transept date from the Gothic period.

Culture and history

The Church of Saint-Andéol was classified as a historic monument by decree dated 30 May 1984.

The former seigneurial chapel of the Church of Saint-Sébastien is decorated with frescoes dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The Church of Saint-Sébastien also contains a painting depicting Saint Roch and Saint Sebastian together with Saint Louis. The 16th-century mural in the chapel of the Church of Saint-Sébastien depicts the solemn consecration of the Claveyson family to the Virgin Mary.

The 12th-century Saint-Andéol priory is a sight worth seeing in Claveyson.

Cycling

The 45-kilometre cycling loop Les collines de la Galaure passes through Claveyson and then continues through the Galaure Valley. It is difficult and includes 627 metres of elevation gain. The route offers views of the hills of the Drôme, as well as the Pilat, Ardèche and Vercors.

Hiking

The signposted hiking trail Rambling trail is a 17.92-kilometre, five-hour, moderately difficult circular route starting and ending in Claveyson. It combines walking along sandy sections with beautiful views, local cultural heritage and a variety of landscapes.

Les chemins de sable is a signposted 18-kilometre hiking trail lasting five hours and starting in Claveyson. The trail passes through meadows, streams, valleys and forests of beech, oak and pine trees. Les chemins de sable also leads to the hamlet of St-Andéol and then towards the Saint-Andéol chapel.
