Culture and History
The Donjon de Clansayes dates from the 11th or 12th century; it is open only on request and during Heritage Days. The Romanesque Eglise Saint-Michel dates from the 13th century, has been listed as a historic monument since 13 July 1926, and overlooks the Rhône Valley.
The Chapelle Notre Dame de Toronne is a Romanesque chapel from the 13th century. It offers panoramic views over the Tricastin landscape. It can be reached via a fairly steep Stations of the Cross trail with around twelve wayside shrines.
The Salle aux Trois Niches may have been a place of worship and is evidence that Clansayes was already inhabited during the Bronze Age. It can be visited individually and free of charge at any time.
