Culture and History

The Ancien clocher was built in the 13th century as part of the former Church of Saint-Sébastien. The Angelus at the Ancien clocher is still rung almost daily by a villager.

The Church of Saint John the Baptist in Autichamp was built in the 18th century using the remains of the earlier 14th-century church.

The Pont roman bridge was built during the Renaissance over the La Grenette River. In 2004, the Pont roman bridge was completely restored and received the “Les rubans du patrimoine” award.

The southern gate was named Porte de France by a local artist. The Porte de France and the adjoining massive tower are remarkable remnants of the 13th-century castle in Autichamp.

The Fontaines et jardins are now privately owned.

Landscape

The Table d'Orientation is located in the centre of the village, on the square in front of the former church. The panorama from the Table d'Orientation extends from the cliffs of the Vercors to the Marsanne forest.

From Autichamp, you can enjoy a view of the Massif de Saoû and the 3 Becs.

Hiking Trails

The historic Roynac–Autichamp hiking trail can also be started in Autichamp. The trail leads downhill towards the village of Autichamp.

The Courbière route crosses a stone bridge over the Grenette stream and then climbs into the forest.
