Built in 1827, the Pont Marc-Seguin is considered France’s oldest still-operational structure of the suspension bridge type. It connects Andance on the right bank of the Rhône with Andancette on the left bank.

The townscape includes the paved Rue de Rhône, lined with the town’s bourgeois houses, including the Maison Baborier. This vaulted house from the 15th century is considered the village’s first house. Gambetta stayed at the Maison Émile-Christophe.

The Église Saint-André dates from the 19th century. Its furnishings include a stained-glass window dated 1896/1945, which was restored in 2006. The church also preserves a Gothic lintel from the 13th or 14th century, originating from the former church of the Saint-André priory. The chapel of the Saint-André priory remained in use until construction of the present-day church was completed in 1835.

Named cultural heritage sites in Andancette include the former Grande Vermicellerie du Rhône and the former Du Sert grain storage facility. The former Les Marettes district includes a former priory of Marettes.

The ViaRhôna runs through Andancette and can be explored along the Rhône on foot, by bicycle or on roller skates. Andancette also offers a geocaching treasure hunt accessible with a smartphone or GPS device. Geocaching is offered here as a free activity open to everyone.

Getting Around

La Compagnie des Canotiers offers trips on the electrically powered, solar-assisted catamaran Canotier on the Rhône between Andancette and La Voulte. In the evening, wine tastings and dinner cruises on the Rhône are offered.
