Culture and history
The Château de Rochemaure was built between the 11th and 12th centuries by the Des Adhémar family. The Château de Rochemaure offers views of the Rhône and volcanic landscapes.
The Château de Joviac is not open to visitors. South of Rochemaure, the historic hydraulic system of the Château de Joviac is listed as a historic monument.
The Passerelle Himalayenne (Le Vieux Pont) is listed as a historic monument. In 2013, it was converted from a historic suspension bridge to carry the ViaRhôna between Ardèche and Drôme.
Notre-Dame-des-Anges is designed in the Provençal Gothic style.
Guided tours covering the historical background of the ruins are offered at the Château de Rochemaure. On Tuesdays in July and August, medieval combat demonstrations were held there.

Landscape and trails
PR 14 “Rochemaure, les îles du Rhône” is an easy 5.1 km circular route.
The PR 17 hike “Le Pic de Chenavari” offers views of the Château de Rochemaure and the Rhône Valley.
