History
A watermill along the Longevent has been documented since 1357.
Up to five flour mills were in operation for almost six hundred years; the last one ceased operations in 1974.

Guided tours of the Château de Meximieux can be arranged through the Syndicat d’Initiative de Meximieux.
In 2020, the town installed three panels on the history of the château in the park of the Château de Meximieux.
The wooden choir stalls dating from the 16th century are located in the choir of the Church of Saint Apollinaris in Meximieux.
