From the centre of Cormaranche-en-Bugey, the Belvédère de Planachat can be reached via the Route de Planachat and then along a 250-metre-long path. The Marais de Vaux wetland lies in the municipalities of Cormaranche-en-Bugey and Hauteville-Lompnes. It covers 132 hectares, and nearly 160 plant species have been recorded there. A 900-metre-long walkway on stilts makes it possible to cross the entire Marais de Vaux year-round.

The Cascades du Trou de la Marmite are located on the road to the Col de la Rochette, near the Croix du Grapillon, at the junction with the small road leading down to Cormaranche. There, water plunges 45 metres through an opening in the rock.

Culture

Located in Cormaranche-en-Bugey, the Campus Régional du Bois offers free visits for school pupils coordinated by FIBOIS 01. VisioBois was inaugurated there in 2013 and showcases local wood species as well as the expertise of the region’s forestry and timber sector.
