Culture
The parish church of Saint-André dates back to the Romanesque period. During the Wars of Religion, the church was partially destroyed and subsequently rebuilt using materials from its ruins as well as the walls that were still standing.
Oustau d’Antan welcomes visitors to its workshop in Jonquerettes all year round. Oustau d’Antan’s creations are shaped and modelled by hand from clay, fired in the kiln and carefully painted.
Landscape
The Colline de la Graille is home to typical Mediterranean vegetation, including holm oaks, pines, juniper and thyme. The Colline de la Graille offers panoramic views of Avignon and Mont Ventoux.
The Balade des Copines can be completed on foot or by bicycle.
Gastronomy
The Domaine du Bois de Saint Jean winery has more than 50 hectares of vineyards, including 21 hectares of Côtes du Rhône Villages Gadagne, 20 hectares of Côtes du Rhône, 4.5 hectares of Vacqueyras and 0.5 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
At its tasting cellar, Domaine du Bois de Saint Jean offers free tastings of its cuvées all year round from Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Events
The Fête des Joncs takes place annually in Jonquerettes.
