Trigance lies at an altitude of around 800 metres above sea level and is built around a rocky spur dominated by a crenellated feudal castle. The Château médiéval de Trigance towers over the village from a triangular rocky spur. The Château féodal de Trigance dates back approximately to the 11th century and is not open to visitors.
Culture and history
The archaeological wall of Trigance consists of panels explaining the history and the various periods of human settlement in the Jabron Valley through the development of the landscape and scientific discoveries. The archaeological wall is open year-round as a freely accessible outdoor walking tour in the centre of Trigance.
The Église Saint-Michel was probably built in the 12th century and remodelled and extended in an L-shape in the 17th century. It has a square bell tower with multicoloured glazed fish-scale tiles and was restored in 1990. On a hill immediately outside the village stands the Chapelle Saint-Roch, built in 1629 after a plague epidemic and featuring a covered porch. The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Saint-Julien was first documented in 1056; geometric drawings can be found on its stone doorway, and it is flanked by a hermitage.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Saint-Julien can be visited on request. A mass is held there monthly, along with a pilgrimage and procession on 15 August. In the centre of the village, the Musée des Voûtes – Patrimoine Trigançois presents a photo exhibition on the heritage of Trigance. The Moulin de Soleils is the last traditional water-powered grain mill in the Pays du Verdon. The agricultural museum at the La Sagne farm displays agricultural machinery outdoors and under a shed.
The Route de l’Histoire et des Légendes is an artistic trail that passes through nine villages, including Trigance, and features nine representative sculptures. The historic trail in Trigance leads, among other places, to the Tour de l’Horloge and offers a 180-degree view over the Jabron Valley from the Mur de chez Cartier.

Trails and activities
The Sentier découverte préhistorique des Condamines is a 4.3-kilometre circular route with free access and a stated duration of approximately two hours. Along the trail, visitors learn about 50,000 years of human and landscape history in the Jabron Valley.
The section of the GR®49 between Saint-Raphaël and Rougon is 16 kilometres long, takes approximately four hours and is freely accessible. It can be walked in either direction. The hike from Trigance to the Pont de Carajuan leads from the architectural sights of Trigance to the gateway of the Gorges du Verdon. The Tour de Breis passes through a secluded mountain landscape and offers beautiful views of the Verdon.
The canyoning descent near Trigance combines jumps and swimming. For people who do not want to jump, there is an approximately six-metre abseiling section. Explore Aventure offers guided canyoning with state-certified guides or instructors.
Nature
From the Belvédère des Vautours, hikers can observe vultures in flight over the Gorges du Verdon. The ENS La Fontaine is one of the natural areas in and around Trigance presented by the Var département.
