Culture

The Oppidum du Fort was discovered in 1969 after a fire. It is a Celtoligurian settlement dating from the 2nd century BC. The Tour du Taradel is a square keep from the 12th century and overlooks the entire Argens Valley as well as the Floreye Gorge. The Chapelle Saint-Martin is a Romanesque chapel from the 12th century. The hike from Taradeau to the Oppidum du Fort is 2.5 km long.

Taradeau lies in the heart of the Florièye Valley, a tributary of the Argens. The Vignerons de Taradeau cooperative invites visitors to discover typical wines from the Var. Every year in mid-November, Taradeau celebrates Vin Nouveau.
