At Portissol Beach, there is an underwater educational trail in July and August. During the bathing season, the municipality provides a bathing assistance service there with the level 3 Handiplage label. This includes access mats to the sea, the special Tiralo2 and Hippocampe beach wheelchairs, a shaded reception area, a changing room and accessible sanitary facilities. The 200-metre-long sandy beach also has a lifeguard station and sanitary facilities.

The Massif du Gros Cerveau, located above Sanary-sur-Mer, is classified as a ZNIEFF area of ecological, faunal and floristic interest and reaches an altitude of 446 metres.
The Sentier des Nerthes is a moderately difficult, 8-kilometre-long hiking trail with approximately 300 metres of elevation gain and a walking time of 3.5 to 4 hours. The Sentier du Belvédère is a challenging 13-kilometre-long hiking trail for experienced hikers, with approximately 700 metres of elevation gain and a walking time of 5.5 to 6 hours.
Culture
The Port de Plaisance in the centre of Sanary-sur-Mer is home to a small flotilla of Provençal Pointus, which are used by fishermen for traditional small-scale fishing. The large market of Sanary-sur-Mer was voted the best market in France, ranking first.
The Musée de la plongée Frédéric Dumas presents early equipment for underwater hunting and diving used by Frédéric Dumas. It also displays objects that Frédéric Dumas recovered from ancient shipwrecks in the Mediterranean.
