Domaine du Rayol is a protected natural area owned by the Conservatoire du littoral, with 13 hectares of maquis and 7 hectares of landscaped gardens.

The Sentier sous-marin passes through Posidonia seagrass meadows, over sandy seabeds and alongside rocky seabeds inhabited by various marine animals.
At Plage du Canadel, the seabed is covered with Posidonia seagrass meadows inhabited by fish.
Paths and Views
The Escalier monumental consists of 882 stone steps made from local slate and leads down from Le Drapeau to the beach; along the way, there are numerous panoramic viewpoints and balconies overlooking the Mediterranean and the Îles d’Or.
The orientation table at Col du Canadel can be reached via the ridge paths from Le Drapeau and offers views of the Îles d’Or and the Massif des Maures.
The route of the disused railway line has been converted into the Voie Verte; walkers can discover the coast, rocks, vegetation, the Îles d’Or and some beautiful houses dating from the early 20th century.
Culture and History
The necropolis near Chapelle Notre Dame du Rosaire contains the graves of 13 French soldiers from the Texier commando who died during the 1944 landings in Provence.
Chapelle Notre Dame du Rosaire au Canadel was built in 1962 on the site of the former Canadel railway station to commemorate the landing of the African commandos on the night of 14–15 August 1944.
Patec is a round pergola made of reinforced concrete and slate, located approximately halfway up the Escalier monumental; in some places, the original stone slabs are still visible.
Villa Rayolet is a historic building that was listed as a protected monument in 1994 and is a rare example of bourgeois seaside and holiday architecture from the 1940s.
