Culture
The Château of Néoules was built or rebuilt in 1584 by François Blancard, a co-lord of Néoules. It stands opposite the church and has four round towers and a central courtyard.
The Church of Saint John the Baptist was built in 1528 and extended in 1567. On 24 August 1578, it became the parish church of Néoules, replacing a priory that had already existed in 1015.
Châteauloin comprises a 10th-century tower and a 19th-century sheepfold surrounded by oak trees. The site is suitable for picnics as well as musical and theatrical gatherings.
The Festival de Néoules was once again held on the Châteauloin site for three days in a convivial, festive and intergenerational atmosphere. The programme included numerous artists, a market for craftspeople and creatives, artistic performances and live-painting demonstrations.
Nature
The 0.3-hectare Font Marcellin sensitive natural area in Néoules is managed by the Var département and serves as a refuge for biodiversity near the village. The educational pond and watercourse in the Font Marcellin area enable typical wetland species, including the red-veined darter, the little bittern and the brown trout, to develop, find refuge or simply pass through.
