Culture
Sainte-Marie du Flayosquet stands in the hollow of the Florièye Valley, on the slope of a small tuff hill. The first building dates back to the beginning of the 9th century, possibly as early as the 8th century. Archaeological excavations uncovered seven graves with triangular cross-sections and brick-lined coffins in the central and eastern parts of the nave.
The Chapelle du Flayosquet occasionally hosts exhibitions. From 1 January to 31 December, visiting arrangements for the chapel depend on the exhibitions.
The Moulin du Flayosquet, also known as Le Bastidon, is a 13th-century oil mill. During a guided tour of the mill, visitors can see a water wheel with a diameter of 7 metres; the tour ends with a tasting of regional products in the mill’s shop.
The Les balcons du Haut-Var circular route – Circuit 06 passes through the hamlet of Le Flayosquet, which has a Roman necropolis.
Cycling
The La Méditerranée à vélo cycle route follows the D57 towards Le Flayosquet for 3 kilometres and then turns onto the Chemin du Seyran, which it follows for 3.5 kilometres. The east-west section has several long climbs of 10 to 15 percent, on which cyclists with luggage often have to push their bicycles.
The Les balcons du Haut-Var circular route – Circuit 6 reaches Le Flayosquet and then climbs via the D57 and D49 towards Ampus.
