Culture
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Beausset-Vieux is a pilgrimage site and houses a Provençal nativity scene. Twelve oratories, restored by the municipality in 2010, line the pilgrimage route to the Chapelle Notre-Dame du Beausset-Vieux. The orientation panel at the chapel offers an exceptional view of western Var, the Massif de Sainte-Baume, and the bays of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and La Ciotat.
The Fontaine Moussue was built in 1832 on the site of a former public washhouse and public watering trough for livestock. The Maison des Têtes is an architectural landmark dating from the 14th century. Carved female heads can be found on and above the entrance door and on the windows.
The parish church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption is a 19th-century church. During services, visitors can view six paintings by Michel Serre and a reliquary dedicated to Saint Louis. The Cercle du 24 Février is the last remaining institution of its kind in Le Beausset.
Nature and Trails
The Écomusée départemental des 4 Frères is located in the 380-hectare Espace naturel sensible (ENS) des 4 Frères between Signes and Le Beausset. A Provençal bastide is located at the centre of the area.
Five circular walking trails start at the Écomusée départemental des 4 Frères. The ecomuseum offers exhibitions, performances, workshops, and guided walks with nature guides. Free Joëlettes are available there for people with motor disabilities.
Local Food and Wine
Held on Wednesday mornings, the Marché Gourmand offers special breads and fine pastries, charcuterie, grilled dishes, fish, and cheese at around ten stalls and from food trucks. Le Beausset is located on the Bandol wine route.
