Coast and history
At Pointe de la Cuisse, Plage de la Bouillabaisse is a small cove of sand and rocks. It is one of the beaches of La Croix-Valmer and gives the place its characteristic name. At the beginning of the 20th century, the cove became famous because of an inn known to tourists, run by the couple „Les Salvatore“, which served bouillabaisse. It was therefore renamed „La Bouillabaisse“.

Coastal paths
The Sentier du Littoral is a public footpath along the coast. It connects the La Bouillabaisse area in the west of the municipality of La Croix-Valmer with I’Escalet Beach in the municipality of Ramatuelle and leads there from Cavalaire.
The „Rivages“ hiking route runs along the Sentier du Littoral and passes Plage de la Bouillabaisse.
Surroundings
The nearby beaches of La Bouillabaisse include Plage de Sylvabelle, Plage d’Héraclée, Plage des Trois Pins and Plage de Gigaro.
The Chartreuse de La Verne monastery is also located in the surrounding area, in Collobrières, Var. The Place des Lices park is likewise nearby. In the wider regional area around La Bouillabaisse are Fort Brégançon and the Notre-Dame des Anges church.
Hiking
The „Les Traces du passé“ hiking route is a 7.2 km circular hike and is classified as moderate and marked blue. On this route, the path leads along the Allée de la Bouillabaisse; afterwards, follow the signs to the „Sentier du Littoral“.
The „Villas“ hiking route is an 8.8 km circular hike. It is classified as moderate and marked blue, and is suitable for beginners.
