Flayosc: Holiday Apartments and Vacation Homes

Flayosc can be explored via two walking tours. The “Au fil de l’eau” tour follows the course of the irrigation canal through the village and takes about 40 minutes on foot. The “Au fil du patrimoine” tour can be accessed on foot and by bicycle.

Flayosc’s signposted hiking network comprises seven varied trails covering a total of 61 km. Flayosc is also a stop on the tourist route “La Méditerranée à vélo”.

Culture and history

The Oppidum du Castellard is an important testament to the lives of people during the Iron Age. Flayosc was built around the Eglise Saint-Laurent, which is known for its campanile. Part of Flayosc’s medieval castrum has been preserved in the side aisle of the present-day church.

Three gates are still visible: the Porte Dorée, the Porte de Paris and the Porte de la Reinesse. The Saint-Hermentaire church is a designated church building in the vicinity of Flayosc. In the wider region around Flayosc are Thoronet Abbey, a designated monastery, and Fort Camp de la Lègue.

At the Monastère orthodoxe Saint Michel du Var, visitors can see a Byzantine church. It is completely decorated with 700 m² of Romanesque-style frescoes.

Landscape

The mountains Puy de la Signe, Montagne de Beau-Soleil and Peygros, as well as the summit of La Cabrière, are located in the surroundings of Flayosc.

TedBus line 6 offers several return journeys between Flayosc and Draguignan on weekdays.
