Culture and history
The Chapelle Saint-Roch was built following a vow made by the community during the plague of 1722. Work on the parish church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption was completed in 1873. The Chapelle Saint-André was probably the village's former parish church and was rebuilt at its original location in the 11th century.
In the centre of Flassans-sur-Issole, on the banks of the Issole beside a shady square, there is a restored 17th-century oil mill and a humpback bridge. The Cellier Saint-Bernard, a winegrowers' cooperative, bears the year 1912 and was expanded in 1925. The Château des Pontevès in Vieux-Flassans includes a partly underground cistern, the remains of a keep, an old oven, agricultural terraces and a former dovecote. The construction of the Pont Romain is documented as dating from 1533.
