Events and Local Life
Every summer, the Quartiers d’été festival brings Laragne-Montéglin’s town centre to life with concerts, performances, musically animated terraces, tours and exhibitions. As part of Quartiers d’été, performances and screenings also take place every Tuesday evening in the courtyard of Château Gaspard de Perrinet. The Fête votive de Laragne takes place on the third weekend of September.

Culture and History
The Musée des Caves du Château presents exhibitions by contemporary artists. The Barony of Arzeliers was the origin of the Lordship of Laragne. Gaspard de Perrinet, Lord of Arzeliers, had a château built in 1609, which is preserved today as Château Gaspard de Perrinet in the centre of Laragne-Montéglin.
Château d’Arzeliers is considered one of the most significant fortified sites in the Buëch Valley. In the wider area around Laragne-Montéglin are the Citadelle de Sisteron, a fortress, Château de Tallard, a castle, Abbaye Notre-Dame de Lure, a historic site, and Cathédrale Notre-Dame-des-Pommiers de Sisteron, a church.
Nature and Surroundings
At Les Isles d’Oriane, visitors can learn that the Buëch River is part of the Natura 2000 network and which species are found there. The summit of Les Espranons is in the immediate vicinity of Laragne-Montéglin. The nearby area also includes the peaks of Pic de Suillet, Sommet de la Platte and Roc de l’Escalier.
The Laragne-Chabre flying site is used for hang-gliding and paragliding.
