The Château du Roi René in Tarascon dates back to the 15th century. The Théâtre municipal and the remains of the former Dominican church were listed as historic monuments by decree of 11 March 1980.

Traditions
Every year at Pentecost and during the Sainte-Marthe festival, a figure representing the Tarasque is carried in procession through Tarascon.
