The Oppidum des Mayans was built in the last third of the 6th century BC and used until the middle of the 5th century BC. It has a fortified rampart with ten square towers and an inner enclosing wall, forming a double defence system considered unique in the south of France.

Local Character
The Chèvrerie communale is a goat-breeding and educational facility in the foothills of the Étoile Massif. It is associated with Brousse du Rove; this cheese received AOP recognition in May 2020, and the facility has an integrated cheese dairy. Direct sales are organised there; visitors can discover the sustainable building at the entrance to the Étoile Massif.
